Why PhotoShow is One of the Top Chrome Extensions

It is working good. I miss feature from Imagus - right click to go to full screen view, and control zoom by scrolling. Panoramic is not so good, only half screen is occupied by image and there is no way to zoom. Also S shortcut to use chosen image search engine was very usefull feature from Imagus that i miss. Otherwise it's working flawlessly on every site.

Handy extension that works very well overall! The main thing you have to "deal with" is fine-tuning the settings to avoid images popping up when you don't want them to. There are various settings to help you do that, such as a configurable delay before the popup appears, domain blacklisting (or whitelisting), and only showing with a hotkey/trigger key pressed, which can be set per-domain. Very nice. There are a few features that could be fixed/improved and I would be super appreciative if they are considered: - Blacklisting by custom URL string: Currently it is either on or off for the entire domain, but many sites have different pages/UIs where you'd want different functionality. My biggest example is eBay, where I'd love to have the extension fully enabled without trigger key on "ebay.com/sch/" (search results), but disabled or trigger key required only on "ebay.com/itm/"(product listings) because it is very helpful for previewing full-sized images in search results, but conflicts with and gets in the way of the image gallery on listings. - Fix the Trigger key feature: Both options don't seem to work as intended; they certainly don't work as I expected them to. My expectation (and desire) is for "Press and hold" to keep the popup enabled while I am holding down the key, ie: hold ctrl and I can move my mouse across the page opening popup for any image I hover over. Instead, you just have to hold the key to keep the popup visible. And for "Press only (toggle)", "toggle" implies that the feature will stay on after pressing the trigger key once and then only turn off when I press it again, but the way it actually works is you have to press the trigger key on any image to make the popup appear. Moving over to another image, you have to press the trigger key once again. - An option to disable the delay when using the trigger key feature (no reason for it to be delayed when manually choosing to show it) Thank you, developer, for providing this extension for free! Thanks to PhotoShow for improving the browsing experience. It's an extremely useful tool to more easily identify and underestand what you are looking at.

Great extension. One issue: Most of the time when browsing gmail with this extension enabled I get "Oops… the system encountered a problem (#2014)" error, and as a result emails don't load. I tried disabling every extension one by one until it stopped occuring, and it's 100% this one causing it for some reason. Can this issue be looked into?

Can't type if hovering over an image, ends up causing shortcuts in Chrome to trigger. Every time I go to type something online I have to make sure the mouse isn't hovering over an image which is pretty difficult to do on websites like Reddit and Facebook. If I'm hovering over an image and press the S key I can promise you I was not trying to save the image I have no idea why this exists with no option to turn it off. And this even happens when I'm not actively hovering over the image, if it was recently hovered over this happens too. HoverZoom causes eBay to block my IP, Imagus causes Facebook to completely crash, this was a good alternative but I'm ready to give up trying to have any app that functions how I want.

PhotoShow is by far the best extension for what it's intended for. But recently the extension doesn't work well with Instagram web, whenever i turn it on all my notifactions, comments and reply on the left side - the left Instagram web column- will be suddenly disappeared and sometimes the browser logged all my accounts-Amazon,eBay,Instagram, Facebook- out! I've tried it on Edge and Chrome too and the Log out issue happnes more often on Edge than Chrome but the notification issue happens in both browsers. I didn't have this issue before and tried to find the solution on Internet but I couldn't still fix it.

Finally a good alternative to Imagus. I used Imagus Reborn for awhile but it tries to preview anything and everything you hover over. Very annoying.

The pop-out image is a proper size, but when downloaded, it's small. Hmmm... shame.

Still poor functionality - no support for videos and albums, inconvenient viewing modes. This extension is still a long way from Imagus Reborn.

The settings keeps getting reset. But other than that, good extension, does what it says it do.

Recently, the viewer position settings keep resetting. I always turn off all other options and only use 'center', but the center option keeps getting unchecked and the other options get selected instead.

Really great! The only things that should make it perfect for me are a blacklist feature and an option to have the image pop-up over your cursor or in the middle of the page.

DEVELOPERS. Can you please improve Craigslist.org. I used for many years "Imgus" extension. And google is killing that extension. The way it works is if you see a post on craigslist it will enlarge the picture of the thumbnail without clicking on the post, but if there are more picture, you could use the mouse wheel to scroll through them. It's not working with PhotoShow. With PhotoShow you have to click and open the post to go through other pictures. Other problem is when you click on a post and it has a big picture and small thumbnails beneath it inside, thumbnails don't enlarge unless you click on them. It works with Imgus. Another problem I discovered is when switching tabs. I went to a tab that it was working on, and now it's not. I had to refresh the tab. Seems like it stops working after switching around a couple of open tabs. And any chance to remove the animation and set duration of how long the mouse needs to hover would be great.

For those users who lack video support, I suggest you try the Imagus / Imagus Mod extension. Search "Imagus Reddit" (Imagus community) to get more information about it.

This extention got my instagram account deleted, and i'm sure it's this extention because they kept giving me "instagram suspected automated behavior" warnings when I had it turned on. Instagram wouldn't even let me log in when I had it turned on. I had to go the photoshow settings and blacklist instagram in order to log in again. Good app, but be warned it might affect your instagram account.

It works great, though I'm tossing in a 3-Star for a few reasons. • The magnification isn't exactly magnification, it just enlarges the image a small bit • Images shown on something like Reddit, where an image could be posted, should enlarge the image to a larger resolution and bigger viewing angle • Hover feature is a bit too sensitive, there needs to be a safe zone on the outer side of the image before it enlarges, or the ability to enable a button you can tap to enlarge the image. Other than the minor complaints, the add-on so far is really decent and it definitely outdoes the previous popular choice, Imagus as the devs have left that project abandoned. Seeing continued work to make this better than the simplicity of Imagus would be awesome, and I'm in full support as it's basically drag and drop.

Love this as it does exactly what I need it to, though I would like to mention that YouTube shorts get zoomed in on as well. Not sure if that can be fixed but it would be nice. A blacklist function would be cool too :) Edit: Appreciate the response, though I would like to point out that it's the YouTube shorts videos themselves (as in, while I am viewing them) that the zoom appears.
